Local Shops in Fredonia

In Fredonia, there is a very limited amount of second-hand clothing along with clothing shops as a whole. Name-brand thrift stores, such as Salvation Army, Goodwill, Savers, and others, can be found just about anywhere. However, when it comes to secondhand shops with an owner who sources items from thrift stores all over, there is only one in Fredonia.

That would be Recollected, located on Main Street. It’s a shop offering clothes and trinkets for everyone. Doug, the owner, spends a lot of time sourcing his items from thrift stores as well as people online. He often organizes random sales and scavenger hunts around town, where students and others can find gift cards to use at the shop. Many Fredonia students can be seen modeling for the shop on Instagram.

Another thrift store directly in Fredonia is the classic Salvation Army. For some background, I am from Syracuse, and my absolute favorite thrift store of all time is my local Salvation Army on Erie Boulevard. The Fredonia location is pretty good, especially considering the town’s smaller population compared to Syracuse. I’ve found a plethora of jeans and cool tops there. Below is an image of a pile of clothes I tried on at the Salvation Army in Fredonia.

If you are able to get out of Fredonia, you should check out the thrift stores in Buffalo!
